Choose the proxy based on the target website, required location and observed access behavior. Using the Scale plan, Residential proxy access is an add-on; use it when the included Datacenter proxy does not provide the required access or location.

Current Datacenter locations are:

  • Germany

Residential proxies provide many country and location options. Available locations can change, so use the locations shown in the Cloud configuration.

Proxy location can change returned content

Websites may vary currency, language, prices, availability, regional catalogs, consent screens or page structure by location. After changing the proxy configuration, use Test scrape and confirm that the expected page and selectors still work.

IP rotation and retries

Proxy IP addresses can rotate during scraping. When Cloud automatically retries an Empty or Failed page, the retry uses a different proxy IP.

If a page still fails, inspect the returned page or screenshot to determine whether the issue is access, JavaScript rendering or sitemap configuration.

Troubleshoot proxy-related access

  1. Inspect the Failed or Empty page and screenshot when available.
  2. Confirm that the sitemap and driver are correct.
  3. Test another appropriate proxy location or proxy type.
  4. Compare the returned records before changing production settings.
